<p>We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Teacher of Design Technologies (food and textiles) to join our expanding secondary school learning area, providing students with opportunities to explore practical innovation and trade-based pathways.</p> <p>Commencing Term 1 2026, as a full-time Teacher, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an engaging, student-centred curriculum that inspires problem-solving, design thinking, and real-world application.</p> <p>We are seeking a personable teacher who can inspire and connect with students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.</p> <p>To be eligible applicants are required to:</p> <ul> <li>Have a demonstrated ability to teach VET and TASC Technology courses.</li> <li>Ability to teach in an additional discipline would be advantageous.</li> <li>Be committed to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.</li> <li>Be able to articulate a commitment to learning and teaching.</li> <li>Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.</li> <li>Have appropriate graduate and/or post graduate qualifications.</li> <li>Be a registered Teacher in Tasmania or be able to gain registration prior to the commencement of the position.</li> </ul> <p>Catholic Education Tasmania and St Marys College are committed to supporting the rights of children and young people and providing a safe supportive environment for them.
