This full-time role is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, 27 January 2026.<br><br> The Instructional Leader: Integrated Learning position attracts a 1 point remuneration and 2 point time allocation, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>About The Role</strong><br><br> The <strong>Instructional Leader</strong> forms part of the teaching and learning team. Reporting to the Assistant Principal: Liberal Arts, the Instructional Leader: Integrated Learning is responsible for supporting schoolwide excellence in a Liberal Arts approach to pedagogy, curriculum and assessment practices and supporting the implementation of integrated and cross-curricular learning projects, as well as embedding philosophy throughout the College.</p> <p>The Instructional Leader: Integrated Learning is an exemplary practitioner who builds the capacity of teachers to deliver excellent student outcomes.<br><br><strong>Major Accountabilities</strong><br><br> The Instructional Leader is required to perform tasks that include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>promoting and implementing Sydney Catholic Schools' mission and vision; To know and love Christ through learning, and thriving Catholic communities through excellent teaching and learning</li> <li>supporting the leadership of a school-wide culture of excellence, informed decision-making, and collaborative practice</li> <li>working with the leadership team in implementing a range of improvement strategies to ensure effective strategic change</li> <li>actively promoting the integration of Catholic values and Catholic Social Teaching across the curriculum</li> <li>ensuring consistency of teaching practice and shared teacher judgement drives assessment</li> <li>supporting the implementation of integrated learning projects, facilitating cross-curricular approaches across the curriculum</li> <li>demonstrating exemplary liberal arts pedagogical practice across the curriculum informed by contemporary educational research</li> <li>cultivating a contemporary and effective learning culture</li> <li>developing and implementing effective and evidence-based professional learning to build pedagogical approaches that promote critical thinking</li> <li>leading and collaborating within a culture of ongoing growth and improvement</li> <li>demonstrating organisational, management and leadership skills</li> <li>analysing data and trends within the school to identify areas for growth</li> <li>actively promoting the relationship between student wellbeing and learning growth</li> <li>contributing to a 'network approach' that promotes the reciprocal benefits of school system partnerships in the specific curriculum area.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Duties</strong><br><br> In this position, your primary duties will include:</p> <ul> <li>demonstrating and leading exemplary, innovative and evidence-based real-world learning practice in selecting, organising and evaluating the content and delivering integrated learning and teaching programs across a variety of key learning areas</li> <li>ensuring compliance with NSW Education Standards Authority and Australian Government requirements for syllabus interpretation and implementation, programming, assessment, reporting and evaluation for each project</li> <li>providing evidence of a tertiary qualification in Education &amp; NESA accreditation</li> <li>monitoring teachers' goal setting related to performance and evaluating the achievement of set goals</li> <li>contributing to and coordinating the growth of Integrated Learning opportunities within Stages 3-6</li> <li>collaborating with the Leader of Pathways and Partnerships to establish external partnerships that support the integrated learning projects or Stage 5 electives</li> <li>collaborating, where necessary, with the Leader of Pathways &amp; Partnerships and the Assistant Principal: Liberal Arts to ensure cooperative practices and effective alignment in common areas</li> <li>teaching within a KLA/s in the Middle and Senior School.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Work for Sydney Catholic Schools</strong><br><br> Joining <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/">Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS)</a> means being part of NSW's largest Catholic education community, with over 145 schools and 74,000 students.
