<p>The Business Manager is an integral member of the senior leadership team. The position has an important strategic and operational role, contributing to the directions and priorities of the school as a whole, as well as assisting to develop plans and programs to ensure financial sustainability and efficiency across all aspects of SCOTS PGC business operations. The successful candidate will be seeking to embed themselves into a regional community, demonstrate a proven record of exceptional ethical leadership, strategic thinking, operational attention to detail and interpersonal skills.</p>
<p>Reporting to the Principal, and the College Council, the Business Manager will exemplify astute financial and commercial acumen and is responsible for the management of all business functions across the school, including two campuses, two College Boarding Houses and the SCOTS PGC College Foundation. The position also acts as Company Secretary to the School Council and manages the public office accountabilities of the school’s legal entities. </p>
<p><strong>The successful candidate will be CPA or CA qualified and able to demonstrate experience in:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Establishing and maintaining financial reporting frameworks including a high level of knowledge of accounting practices, Corporations Law and governance.</li>
<li>Leading finance, business and project functions as part of a senior team and reporting to a Board or Council, as well as influencing key decisions by providing strong evidence for recommendations. </li>
<li>Leading diverse operational portfolios such as ICT, risk, facilities, and support services<strong>.</strong></li>
<li>Establishing effective budget formulation and financial management processes in a commercial or significant not-for-profit environment, with evidence of strong commercial acumen.</li>
<li>Planning and managing significant capital and other projects including the analysis of costs and preparation of business cases.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams through relational, values-driven leadership.</li>
