St Mark's is seeking a committed, fun loving classroom teacher to join our teaching team, in 2026 in a fixed term leave replacement position for 12 months. (Possibility of ongoing). Graduates welcome to apply.

<p><strong><u>SELECTION CRITERIA:</u></strong><br> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <p>• Appropriate educational qualification to teach in a Primary School</p> <p>• Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic Primary School or a willingness to undertake accreditation</p> <p>• VIT Registration</p> <p>• Level 2 First Aid preferable</p> <p><strong>Personal Qualities/Skills:</strong></p> <p>• Hardworking, fun and energetic with a joyful and positive commitment to all aspects of school life</p> <p>• Ability to build relationships with all members of the community, communicate effectively, solve problems, think creatively and work collaboratively</p> <p>• A strong commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Education</p> <p>• Sound classroom management skills</p> <p>• Current knowledge and competency in using technology to engage students and provide learning opportunities which enables them to collaborate, communicate, connect and learn collectively online</p> <p>• Commitment to school and community events and activities through attendance, organisation and support</p> <p>• Ability to provide a safe, secure learning environment for all, in line with the current child safe standards</p> <p>• Excellent organisational skills, including thorough record keeping and detailed planning and assessment documents</p> <p>• A passion for teaching children and a sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum</p> <p>• Confident implementation of contemporary pedagogy with an ability to plan and teach using explicit teaching methods and inquiry based learning</p> <p>• Ability to use student data to tailor curriculum to meet the individual needs of students</p> <p>• Ability to be confidential, responsive and sensitive to issues raised by staff, students and families</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
