<p>The Science Laboratory Assistant plays a key role in supporting the science department and enhancing student learning. This position assists teachers in delivering high-quality science education by preparing resources across chemistry, biology, physics, and general science.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>Your skills and experience:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in lesson preparation and setting up of equipment and chemicals</li> <li>Ordering of resources&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintenance of risk assessments with teachers</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of WHS regulations and chemical safety in an educational or laboratory setting</li> <li>Competency with ICT relevant to laboratory operations and record-keeping</li> <li>Strong organisational and time-management skills</li> <li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proficient in the use of Chemwatch and Risk Assess&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Relevant qualifications in laboratory operations, a related field OR working towards</li> <li>National Criminal History Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes).&nbsp;</li> <li>NSW Working with Children Check&nbsp;</li> <li>Applicants will be screened for appropriate child protection purposes as we are a Child Safe School.</li> </ul>
