Wenona is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join our team temporarily, inspiring students through engaging teaching and musical excellence.
<p>Wenona is seeking a passionate and experienced Music teacher to temporarily join our Music Department. You will inspire our young women through dynamic classroom practice, refined professional knowledge and a commitment to high performance.</p>

<p><strong>The Position</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Deliver engaging Stage 3 and 4 Classroom Music lessons aligned with NSW Department of Education curriculum requirements.</li>
<li>Plan, prepare, and implement effective programs, lesson plans, and assessment strategies to support student learning.</li>
<li>Use a range of instructional methods and technology to cater to diverse learning needs.</li>
<li>Assess, record, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.</li>
<li>Foster a positive and well-managed classroom environment that supports student engagement and wellbeing.</li>
<li>Contribute to departmental initiatives, school events, and broader school life while upholding duty of care responsibilities.</li>
</ul>
<p>This role is a temporary part-time position, with specific load to still be determined, for Term 1 2026.</p>
<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>To be successful in this role, you will be highly qualified, with experience in teaching Music across Junior and Middle School (Years 5–8). You will have a strong working knowledge of the NESA curriculum and be confident in delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire students’ creativity and musical growth, supported by effective assessment and feedback practices.</p>
<p>Knowledge of Kodály and Orff methodologies is <i>preferred but not essential</i>, and an ability to incorporate elements of these approaches into classroom practice will be highly regarded.</p>
<p>You will be flexible, solutions-focused, and an effective communicator, able to connect with students and collaborate closely with colleagues. Your professionalism and commitment to Wenona’s values will ensure a smooth and positive contribution to the Music Department during this temporary appointment.</p>
