<p>Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview was established in 1880 as a Catholic school for boys in the Jesuit tradition. Located within Cammeraigal Country, on Sydney’s lower north shore, Riverview is a leading independent school, which delivers a holistic education to both day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.</p> <p>The College is seeking applications for an experienced and enthusiastic teacher of French to join our languages department. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that allow the students to develop fluency in the French language, but also their understanding and appreciation of French culture. As part of a vibrant and supportive educational community, you will contribute to a collaborative teaching team, access excellent resources, and empower students to apply their talents in ways that make a meaningful impact within the College and beyond.</p> <p>The College is seeking to appoint an outstanding French teacher in a full-time ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2026.</p> <p><strong>SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant needs to have the ability to teach the following courses:</p> <ul> <li>Stage 3, 4, 5 and 6 French</li> <li>The ability to teach another language (Italian, Latin, Classical Greek) would be desirable&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant will:</p> <ul> <li>be an outstanding experienced classroom teacher of French across Stages 3, 4, 5 and 6.</li> <li>demonstrate collaborative practices and a commitment to working as part of a team</li> <li>demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional learning</li> <li>demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the Mission and Values of the College</li> <li>be willing to contribute to the Co-curriculum Programs at the College</li> <li>hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and well-being of children and young people</li> <li>accredited&nbsp;with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to be eligible to teach in NSW.</li> </ul>
