The incumbent will report regularly to the Executive Management Team.</p> <p>The People and Culture Manager will develop an employee engagement strategy and plan. The incumbent will execute best practice human resources principles to attract, develop, engage, acknowledge and retain quality employees, and to maximise their professional productivity.&nbsp;</p> <p>The People and Culture Manager will support and work closely with the Executive Principal and Head of College and other key members of the Executive Team including the Head of Business Services and Head of Risk and Compliance with regards to industrial relations, staff recruitment and contracts, work, health and safety, staff wellbeing, professional learning and staff performance management.&nbsp;</p> <p>The People and Culture Manager will communicate with and coordinate staff support for the College Leaders as required. A critical aspect of the role will be the development of sound working relationships with all College staff, providing a point of contact to address concerns and in some cases, be jointly involved in aspects of Staff wellbeing.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Specific Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Staff Recruitment, Selection, Induction, Retention and Exit</li> <li>Human Resource Systems and Human Resource Leadership&nbsp;</li> <li>Staff Professional Development&nbsp;</li> <li>Performance Management&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personal Attributes&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Outstanding communication skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Highly developed presentation and interpersonal skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Willingness to take responsibility and be accountable&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent team leadership skills with the capability to manage and inspire colleagues&nbsp;</li> <li>Effective decision-making skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Highly developed active listening skills, showing an ability to take direction as well as to direct and lead&nbsp;</li> <li>Integrity and high ethical standards&nbsp;</li> <li>Energy, capacity and resilience.</li> <li>Maintaining strict confidentiality with respect to the College business</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (preferably Masters degree)</li> <li>A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Human Resources role&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of HR policies, programs and processes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience within the Education Sector will be highly regarded&nbsp;</li> <li>Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain</li> </ul> <p>The People and Culture Manager is appointed by the Executive Principal.
