We are seeking two temporary full-time Junior School teachers for maternity leave contracts, and for the 2026 academic year. These roles will commence in Term 1 2026.

We look for vibrant, dedicated and capable staff who have initiative, empathy, a good sense of humour and a professional behaviour to help the School achieve its objectives.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>We are seeking two temporary full-time Junior School Teachers, commencing in Term 1, 2026 for the 2026 academic year. &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Teaching&nbsp;within&nbsp;the&nbsp;School&nbsp;Principles,&nbsp;including&nbsp;Responsibility,&nbsp;Independence,&nbsp;Collaboration&nbsp;and Reflection</li> <li>Writing,&nbsp;implementing&nbsp;and&nbsp;evaluating&nbsp;teaching programs</li> <li>Developing&nbsp;effective&nbsp;assessment&nbsp;and&nbsp;reporting procedures</li> <li>Actively&nbsp;participating&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;planning of&nbsp;curriculum,&nbsp;writing of programs and scope and sequences</li> <li>Developing&nbsp;and&nbsp;using&nbsp;an&nbsp;innovative&nbsp;curriculum&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;School's CANVAS Learning Management System</li> <li>Using&nbsp;formative and&nbsp;summative&nbsp;assessment&nbsp;to&nbsp;determine&nbsp;student progress</li> <li>Creating&nbsp;a&nbsp;stimulating&nbsp;classroom&nbsp;environment&nbsp;where&nbsp;students can&nbsp;flourish</li> <li>Submitting&nbsp;reports&nbsp;at&nbsp;a&nbsp;professional&nbsp;standard&nbsp;that&nbsp;demonstrate&nbsp;an&nbsp;understanding&nbsp;and&nbsp;knowledge&nbsp;of each student</li> <li>Submitting&nbsp;marking, reports&nbsp;and&nbsp;results in&nbsp;a&nbsp;timely&nbsp;manner&nbsp;and&nbsp;meets&nbsp;deadlines</li> <li>Planning&nbsp;and&nbsp;oversight of&nbsp;individual&nbsp;student and&nbsp;group&nbsp;academic needs&nbsp;and&nbsp;progress, including enrichment (extension) and enhancement (support)</li> <li>Monitoring&nbsp;and&nbsp;reporting&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;progress of&nbsp;all&nbsp;students.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Appropriate&nbsp;tertiary&nbsp;and&nbsp;teaching&nbsp;qualifications</li> <li>Accreditation&nbsp;with&nbsp;the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li> <li>Experience&nbsp;in&nbsp;a K-6&nbsp;teaching&nbsp;role, with sound knowledge of the K-6 syllabi</li> <li>Demonstrated&nbsp;ability to&nbsp;cater&nbsp;to individual&nbsp;student needs and differentiate the curriculum accordingly</li> <li>Ability to implement authentic&nbsp;assessment&nbsp;that&nbsp;informs&nbsp;teaching and&nbsp;learning</li> <li>Commitment to facilitating outstanding student results</li> <li>Demonstrated excellence&nbsp;in&nbsp;communication&nbsp;and&nbsp;writing&nbsp;skills</li> <li>Well-developed time&nbsp;management&nbsp;and&nbsp;organisational&nbsp;skills</li> <li>Willingness&nbsp;to&nbsp;participate&nbsp;in&nbsp;co-curricular&nbsp;activities&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;broader life&nbsp;of the School</li> <li>A strong&nbsp;commitment&nbsp;to&nbsp;student&nbsp;wellbeing</li> <li>Firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children</li> <li>A&nbsp;current&nbsp;First&nbsp;Aid&nbsp;/ CPR certificate and valid&nbsp;Working&nbsp;with&nbsp;Children Clearance (WWCC).</li> </ul> <p>The successful applicant will enjoy a stimulating work environment in a team of talented professionals, and attractive remuneration and benefits.</p> <p><strong>Interested?&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Further information, including a position description for this role is available at <a href="https://www.ascham.nsw.edu.au/connecting/careers-at-ascham&nbsp;" rel="nofollow">https://www.ascham.nsw.edu.au/connecting/careers-at-ascham&nbsp;&nbsp;</a></p> <p>If this sounds like you, please <strong>apply via </strong><a href="https://www.seek.com.au/job/87819271?ref=cm-ui" rel="nofollow"><strong>SEEK</strong></a> no later than <strong>11.59pm on Tuesday 4 November 2025</strong>.
