<p><strong>Leadership Opportunity – Christian Education</strong></p> <p><strong>Full Time | Charlton Christian College – Fassifern, NSW</strong></p> <p>Charlton Christian College is seeking a committed and enthusiastic <strong>Secondary Science Teacher</strong> to join our Senior School teaching team. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching Stage 6 Chemistry and Christian education and have ability to teach other Science subjects across Years 7-12.</p> <p>Charlton is an independent K–12 co-educational Christian school situated on 12 hectares of bushland on the western side of Lake Macquarie. We are a Christ-centred community that values Love, Integrity, Faith and Empowerment and are committed to helping every student grow in character and capability.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <ul> <li>Full-time permanent position</li> <li>Commencement: Term 1, 2026 or by negotiation</li> <li>Teaching Stage 6 Chemistry and Science across Stages 4–6</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Successful Applicant Will Demonstrate:</strong></p> <ol> <li>A personal relationship with Jesus Christ, regular attendance in a local Christian church, and willingness to uphold and support the College’s Statement of Faith in all aspects of the role</li> <li>Knowledge of, and strong commitment to, child safety in an educational setting, including awareness of mandatory reporting obligations and safe practices when working with children and families</li> <li>A current Working with Children Check (NSW)</li> <li>NESA-recognised teaching qualifications and accreditation (or provisional registration)</li> <li>Proven ability to align professional practice with the AITSL Teacher Standards</li> <li>Capacity to integrate a Christian perspective into curriculum and classroom practice</li> <li>Evidence of the following behavioural competencies: <ul> <li><strong>Working with People</strong> – Builds positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues; shows empathy and contributes to a supportive team environment</li> <li><strong>Adhering to Principles and Values</strong> – Demonstrates integrity and upholds the Christian ethos of the College</li> <li><strong>Planning and Organising</strong> – Plans effectively, meets deadlines, manages classroom responsibilities, monitors progress against deadlines and communicates progress with stakeholders</li> <li><strong>Presenting and Communicating Information</strong> – Communicates clearly with students, parents and colleagues</li> <li><strong>Adapting and Responding to Change</strong> – Adjusts positively to changing circumstances and student needs</li> </ul></li> </ol> <p><strong>Commencement</strong><br> The role will commence on 20 January<strong>&nbsp;</strong>2026.</p> <p><strong>Salary &amp; Conditions</strong><br> The salary range for this role is approximately $90,000 to $131,000, depending on training and experience. A Position of Responsibility Allowance of $21,778pa will be applied if the role includes a curriculum leadership component.
