EOCS is currently seeking an energetic and passionate Classroom Teacher to teach students with a disability to join the team. 

<p>Catholic Schools Broken Bay (CSBB)&nbsp;provides an inclusive approach for students with disability and diverse learning needs. This specific teaching role is made available as we broaden our learning offerings and&nbsp;inclusive model of education by providing class options for children with disability with a focus on strengths, to promote engagement, enable learning growth and ensure flourishing.</p> <p><strong>Eileen O’Connor Catholic School&nbsp;</strong>(EOCS)&nbsp;provides quality education for students with a disability from kindergarten to Year 12 through a structure of a <strong>Base Schools (Northbridge 2027 &amp; Tuggerah 2028)&nbsp;</strong>and a <strong>network of Support Classes</strong> in local parish schools facilitating the transition between base school and support classes and local parish school enrolment. We have also introduced additional Staff Development Days focused on curriculum reform, as well as separate arrangements for teacher directed time throughout the year</li> <li><strong>Staff Voice:</strong> Our Enterprise Agreement reflects our deep commitment to having systems in place which give our frontline staff a genuine voice in their work</li> <li><strong>Staff School Fee Discounts: </strong>Eligible staff receive a 25% discount on their children's school fees at our schools, pro-rated to their FTE</li> <li><strong>Wellbeing Support:</strong> We provide a robust wellbeing program to ensure our staff thrive and grow.</li> <li><strong>Middle Leaders Program</strong>: We have a comprehensive program to develop leadership capacity, including for aspiring leaders of tomorrow</li> <li><strong>Teachers</strong> <strong>Overnight Allowance for Camps and Excursions</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Specific Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supportive of the Catholic Ethos of the Diocese of Broken Bay</li> <li>Highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner</li> <li>Current knowledge of The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Disability Standards for Education</li> <li>Knowledge of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD), its processes and obligation to schools</li> <li>Ability to develop, implement, assess, and monitor the individual plans for each student in the support class, including behaviour and personal care support plans.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with CSBB teachers, Learning Partners and external health and wellbeing service providers to ensure students are engaged in learning with successful outcomes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Facilitate safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive behaviour for learning.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Committed to supporting student and staff wellbeing.</li> </ul> <p>Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4-year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four-year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese.</p> <p><strong>Qualifications and Accreditations&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Practising Catholic and/or can demonstrate an understanding and commitment to, the ethos of the Catholic faith in an educational context </li> <li>Relevant tertiary qualifications or working towards an initial teacher education program in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement</li> <li>NESA accredited as Proficient or working towards Proficient accreditation</li> <li>Accredited to be a teacher of Religious Education or in the process of completing RE accreditation (applicable for Primary teachers)</li> <li>Valid Working with Children Check &nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Us</strong><br><br> We are Catholic Schools Broken Bay, a vibrant and enriching learning environment that spans the Central Coast, Sydney's Northern Beaches and the North Shore.
