The Catholic Education Office is located in Berrimah.<br> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The Position:</strong></p> <p>Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the Group Accountant plays a vital role in supporting financial operations across the Catholic Education Office and schools. This position is responsible for day-to-day financial management, preparation of reports, and delivery of financial improvement projects to strengthen governance and systems across the organisation.</p> <p><strong>This is a full-time permanent position commencing immediately.</strong><br> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>As Group Accountant, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Manage financial improvement projects</li> <li>Prepare and consolidate Education Trust accounts.</li> <li>Coordinate audit requirements and statutory returns, including FBT.</li> <li>Support budget preparation and consolidation across the group.</li> <li>Manage day-to-day finance activities, including month-end and year-end processes.</li> <li>Provide guidance and training to Finance team members on financial processes and systems.</li> </ul> <p>Full details are outlined in the <strong>position description within the Application Package</strong>.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a Group Accountant who:</p> <ul> <li>Holds tertiary qualifications in Accounting and is a CA or CPA.</li> <li>Has strong experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.</li> <li>Demonstrates excellent analytical, problem-solving, and compliance skills.</li> <li>Communicates effectively and builds strong professional relationships.</li> <li>Has the ability to maintain high standards across a complex, multi-site organisation.</li> <li>Lives and breathes Catholic values and is an active member of a Eucharistic community.
