<p><strong>Your New Role</strong></p>
<p>The Leader of Curriculum works closely and collaboratively with the Principal, Assistant Principal and other members of the Senior Leadership team in overseeing the design and delivery of effective Curriculum processes across the College in the promotion of student learning growth. It is a senior leadership position. </p>
<p>The Curriculum Leader is a key leadership position at Xavier Catholic College, defined by a deep commitment to Catholic values and the evangelising mission of the Church. This role is crucial in ensuring the academic growth of all students. The Curriculum Leader works collaboratively with the Principal and the broader leadership team to drive whole-school improvement through a relentless, evidence-based focus on learning and curriculum design. </p>
<p>This position is responsible for driving curriculum initiatives and expectations throughout the school. The Curriculum Leader works collaboratively and in concert with the Leader of Pedagogy (Learning and Teaching) in our school community- ensuring a close and visible alignment between curriculum and pedagogy in our community. This role has the support of administration roles allocated to support the delivery of Curriculum and Teaching and Learning needs across the school.</p>

<p>Coordinator appointments are three-year contracts, with the option of renewal for an additional three years subject to ongoing successful performance reviews.</p>
<p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A strong understanding of and deep commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education and an understanding of the Bishop’s Charter </li>
<li>Appropriate tertiary education and experience in a leadership position including a willingness to pursue Category C or higher, for Work, Teach, and Lead qualifications </li>
<li>Demonstrated effective leadership skills that positively promote school improvement </li>
<li>Expertise as a classroom practitioner with a passion for learning </li>
<li>Highly effective organisational, time management, analytical, and interpersonal skills </li>
<li>Relevant knowledge of NESA requirements for all Stage 4, 5, and 6 courses, including new Syllabus rollouts, with the ability to plan, implement, embed and evaluate educational programs to achieve student learning outcomes and learning growth </li>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of all NESA curriculum requirements for Programming, Assessment, Reporting and all relevant curriculum documentation </li>
<li>A demonstrated ability to engage in collaborative relationships to achieve the vision and mission of the school community </li>
<li>Experience or a willingness to strategically design and manage a timetable to achieve the vision of the school </li>
<li>Ability to navigate complex issues and de-escalate highly emotional situations and provide appropriate guidance and support to all stakeholders</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A relevant teaching degree such as a Bachelor of Teaching or similar Bachelor Degree with Graduate Diploma of Education </li>
<li>Relevant Qualifications/Experience in one or more Key Learning Areas </li>
<li>Excellence and exemplary practice as a classroom teacher </li>
<li>Experience with the EDVAL or Timetabler software is an advantage </li>
<li>Demonstrated interest and/or experience in timetable construction using 4 computer programs </li>
<li>Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li>
<li>Experience in leadership</li>
<li>Meets or willingness/capacity to work towards the requirements to <a href="https://sites-us.lumapps.com/a/cedww/intranet/evangelisation-religious-education/work-teach-lead" rel="nofollow">Work, Teach and Lead Policy</a> (Accreditation C)</li>
<li>Successful candidate to undergo a National Criminal History Check</li>
<li>NSW Working with Children Check</li>
<li>NSW NESA Accreditation</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirable Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Masters of Education</li>
<li>Experience in a Senior or Middle Leadership role</li>
<li>Current drivers licence</li>
<li>Current First Aid Certificate and CP</li>
