Come and be part of a community that truly values and invests in you.</p> <p><strong>About the Opportunity</strong></p> <p><strong>Status:</strong> &nbsp;Permanent position - 0.6 FTE to Full Time<br><strong>Faculty: </strong>Art &amp; Design<br><strong>Commencement Date:</strong> Term 1, 2026<br><strong>Position Location:</strong> Burgmann Anglican School, 4 The Valley Avenue, Gungahlin<br><strong>Line Management:</strong> This position will be responsible to the Head of Senior School through the&nbsp;Art &amp; Design Faculty Leader and ultimately to the Principal.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Plan and deliver curriculum in your subject area for students in Years 9 to 12</li> <li>Prepare and maintain quality teaching and learning materials</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to faculty planning</li> <li>Participate in curriculum review and development</li> <li>Engage in professional development activities and whole-school initiatives</li> <li>Build positive relationships with students and families</li> <li>Contribute to the school’s co-curricular program (as required)</li> <li>Support the Christian ethos of an Anglican school</li> </ul> <p><strong>Pastoral Care</strong></p> <p>All Senior School teachers are also Pastoral Care teachers. In this role, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Lead a Pastoral Care group and build strong, respectful relationships</li> <li>Monitor student uniform, conduct and general wellbeing</li> <li>Deliver the school’s Pastoral Care curriculum</li> <li>Communicate with families regarding academic and pastoral matters</li> <li>Undertake relevant administration and reporting tasks</li> </ul> <p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>A relevant teaching qualification and experience teaching Design Technology to Senior School students</li> <li>A passion for effective teaching, learning and an innovative mind set</li> <li>Familiarisation with a variety of workshop machinery and technology (eg. CNC router, 3D printers, lathes, etc)</li> <li>The ability to teach another subject is advantageous (eg.
