<p><strong>Purpose of the Role</strong></p>
<p>This is an exciting new position to meet the needs of the College community as the school continues to grow. The Head of House is responsible for leading the College’s pastoral care and positive wellbeing framework across Kindergarten to Year 12. Central to the role is the design, coordination and delivery of evidence-based, proactive, and holistic wellbeing programs that strengthen student belonging, resilience, and positive relationships.This is a full-time permanent position with a 0.2 teaching allocation in the applicants particular subject area. </p>
<p>This is a full-time permanent position commencing in term 1, 2026. (Monday, 19 January) Generous remuneration will be offered above the published 2025/2026 CMEA rates.</p>
<p><strong>Position Objectives</strong></p>
<p>The Head of House will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Lead a whole-school approach to wellbeing that reflects the College’s Positive Wellbeing Framework and strategic priorities.</li>
<li>Ensure wellbeing programs are proactive, inclusive, strengths-based, and responsive to the developmental needs of students K–12.</li>
<li>Foster safe and supportive environments that promote student voice, agency, resilience, and leadership.</li>
<li>Build strong partnerships with families, staff, and external providers to enhance student wellbeing and support.</li>
<li>Embed the College’s character formation framework into House identity by linking virtues and exemplars to character formation.</li>
<li>Champion inclusive House-based participation in whole-school events and initiatives that foster belonging, leadership, and cultural vibrancy.</li>
<li>Encourage healthy inter-house collaboration and competition that reinforces teamwork, mutual respect, and positive peer influence.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of a K–12 wellbeing program that promotes positive relationships, respectful behaviour, resilience, mental health awareness, and digital safety.</li>
<li>Embed wellbeing principles across curriculum, co-curricular, and community programs in collaboration with the Wellbeing and Leadership Teams.</li>
<li>Coordinate student leadership, character development, and personal growth initiatives, including camps, retreats, transition programs, Duke of Edinburgh, and whole-school events.</li>
<li>Champion student voice, agency, and inclusivity by supporting student-led projects and tailoring programs to diverse needs and experiences.</li>
<li>Provide proactive behavioural support through restorative practices and engagement strategies that build safe, respectful, and supportive environments.</li>
<li>Monitor wellbeing trends and data to identify student needs, guide interventions, and inform continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Build strong partnerships with parents, families, external agencies, and community organisations to enhance wellbeing support and opportunities.</li>
<li>Promote a vibrant House culture aligned with the College’s character formation values, encouraging student belonging, leadership, service, and positive peer connections.</li>
