<p>We are seeking a highly organised and student-focused <strong>Teacher Aide (Senior Study/Senior Library)</strong> to provide supervision, learning support and administrative assistance within the College’s Senior Study Centre and Senior Library. This role is central to supporting the academic success and wellbeing of Stage 6 students, while also contributing to library services across the College.</p> <p><strong>Permanent full-time position - Commence Monday 19 January 2026.</strong></p> <p><strong>Working hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for four days per week, with one day per week from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.</strong></p> <p>This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior students in a supportive and structured environment, helping them to develop strong study habits and achieve their academic goals. The role also contributes to the delivery of library services across the College, supporting both staff and students with resources, programs and research skills.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supervising Stage 6 students in the Senior Study Centre to ensure a structured, quiet and independent learning environment.</li> <li>Providing academic and wellbeing support, including mentoring students in effective study and research practices.</li> <li>Maintaining accurate attendance and assessment-related records, liaising with staff, students and families as required.</li> <li>Supporting library services, including technology systems, online resources, study skills programs, and research support.</li> <li>Supervising Year 11 and 12 students in study, correspondence, and VET courses.</li> <li>Contributing to the planning and supervision of examinations, disability provisions, and other academic events.</li> <li>Supervising students in the Senior Library during term breaks and supporting library programs year-round.</li> </ul> <p>To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate you satisfy all of the following essential selection criteria:</p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Commitment to the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition.</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice.</li> <li>Experience in student supervision and mentoring in an educational setting.</li> <li>Strong organisation, administration and record-keeping skills.</li> <li>Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.</li> <li>Confidence in using technology, learning management systems and online research tools.</li> <li>A commitment to fostering student wellbeing, discipline and academic achievement.</li> </ul> <p>In return, you will join a collaborative and supportive team environment where your contribution to student learning and wellbeing is highly valued.
