Our goal is to help each student discover new possibilities and develop bold aspirations-ready to lead with purpose and passion.<br><br><strong>Position Highlights</strong></p> <p>The Leader of Wellbeing reports directly to the Principal and works closely with the Assistant Principal in overseeing the systems of wellbeing and management in order to create an effective and positive environment for teaching and learning. This is a leadership role that requires sensitivity, discretion, confidentiality, vision and a collaborative style of leadership.</p> <p>This <strong>full-time</strong> role is scheduled to commence on <strong>Tuesday, 27 January 2026</strong>. The Leader of Wellbeing is a 3-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent. from your earlier ad as reference.</p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>As a <strong>Leader of Wellbeing</strong>, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.</p> <p>To excel in this role, you will be able to:</p> <ul> <li>demonstrate extensive experience in a student wellbeing leadership role</li> <li>lead a wellbeing team, implementing quality wellbeing programs and providing support and guidance for Wellbeing Coordinators</li> <li>demonstrate extensive experience in the area of wellbeing problem solving, employing highly developed interpersonal skills to build relationships and community with students, parents / carers, teachers, staff and other support services to maximise student achievement, wellbeing and learning outcomes</li> <li>demonstrate knowledge of relevant child protection legislation and Sydney Catholic Schools Pastoral, Wellbeing and Student Management policies, guidelines and procedures</li> <li>support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment with a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support the faith formation of students</li> <li>employ exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of contemporary, evidence based pedagogical approaches that support effective learning and academic rigour</li> <li>create a culture of excellence and high expectations through positive support of student learning.</li> </ul> <p>You will have attained:</p> <ul> <li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li> <li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li> <li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools">Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</a>.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Work for Sydney Catholic Schools</strong></p> <p>In joining <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/">Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS)</a>, you will be part of the largest Catholic education community in NSW, with a unified vision and shared resources, encompassing over 145 schools and over 74,000 students.
