Lead the day to day academic operations of the College and be an integral part of our College Leadership Team.

<ul> <li>Senior Leadership role, Full Time, Fixed Term 5 years (+5), starting January 2026</li> <li>All Boys Independent Catholic Secondary School – EREA Network</li> <li>Assistant Principal Level $149,763 - $157,119 + Super</li> </ul> <p><strong>About the role</strong></p> <p>In this position you will be an integral part of our&nbsp;College Leadership Team.&nbsp; You will share responsibility for the leadership of the school’s vision, mission and strategic priorities and contribute to the life and good management of the school.&nbsp; You will be delegated responsibility for the co-ordination and supervision of the day-to-day academic operations of the College.&nbsp;</p> <p>You will work collaboratively with the College Information Technology Team to gather and analyse data on a range of indicators to enhance school performance throughout the college, along with the curriculum leadership of a Director of Teaching and Learning, Academic Deans, Faculty Leaders and administration support.&nbsp;</p> <p>More broadly, you will support the goals of the College Strategic Plan to pursue enhanced outcomes for all members of the College community.</p> <p><strong>About the contract</strong></p> <p>The position is<strong> fixed term (5 years + 5), full time.&nbsp; This position is a timetabled teaching role of up to two lines.</strong></p> <p><strong>About you</strong></p> <p>To be considered for this role you will need:</p> <ul> <li>Valid working rights within Australia.</li> <li>Be committed to the goals, ethos and mission of the College as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition and be willing to support and participate in the prayer, liturgy and sacramental life of the Church in the school community.</li> <li>A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision and ethos of Ignatius Park College.</li> <li>Appropriate Tertiary qualifications in Education and a current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.</li> <li>Willingness to achieve Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School or Accreditation to Teach Religion in a Catholic School (Teachers of Religious Education).</li> <li>Additional qualifications in educational leadership (highly desirable).</li> <li>Demonstrated teaching and leadership experience within a school environment.</li> <li>Willingness to support the co-curricular program.</li> <li>Strong people management skills and the ability to build and direct a team of colleagues.</li> <li>A demonstrated ability to gather, process and analyse educational, business and other performance data to inform school improvement and decision making.</li> <li>The ability to construct, implement and maintain the College timetable using Timetabling Solutions integrated with TASS (The Alpha School System).</li> <li>The ability to work in a busy school environment, adapting the daily routine and applying resources to meet variations in the College calendar.</li> <li>Outstanding professionalism and the ability to inspire others to a shared vision and ambition for their teams and the wider College.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About our Organisation</strong></p> <p>Ignatius Park College is an all-boys Independent Catholic secondary school located in Townsville, North Queensland catering for approximately 950 boys from Years 7-12.&nbsp; The College is a member of the Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) network of 55 schools across Australia.&nbsp; Ignatius Park College has a tradition of academic, cultural, sporting, spiritual and personal excellence by providing the highest standards of staff, facilities and opportunities for students in a caring Christian environment.
