Chevalier College seeks applications for this full-time, temporary Teacher of Technology (Woodwork) position for Years 7 – 10, for the duration of Term 4, 2025.

Why don’t you come and join us?</p> <p>Teacher Role Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Recognised teacher education qualifications and NESA accreditation to teach in NSW schools.</li> <li>Ability and qualifications to teach Technology (Woodwork) to Years 7 - 10.</li> </ul> <p>At Chevalier College, teachers strategically work in teams to collaboratively plan, prepare, teach, assess and evaluate student learning. As such, they are required to:&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>support and assist the mission of Catholic education in the way of Jules Chevalier and the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC).</li> <li>see themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning.&nbsp;</li> <li>work collaboratively with other teachers to design learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding.&nbsp;</li> <li>enhance social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including learner agency, self-regulated learning, critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student.</li> <li>use summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for key learning outcomes.</li> <li>demonstrate deep understanding of curriculum which informs subject disciplinary knowledge.&nbsp;</li> <li>use digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student and teacher learning.&nbsp;</li> <li>regularly provide students with feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle.&nbsp;</li> <li>be open to growth and development through professional learning experiences which include classroom observations, practice analysis conversations and input from Leaders of Learning.&nbsp;</li> <li>know and apply New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) guidelines.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Other</p> <ul> <li>Full-time, temporary teaching position for Term 4, 2025.&nbsp;</li> <li>Salary and conditions will be as per the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Teachers – Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023.</li> <li>This is a child-related position.&nbsp; Preferred candidates are required to possess a valid a Working With Children Check and will be subject to identification verification.</li> </ul>
