<p>We are currently seeking a <strong>STEM/Technology Teacher</strong>, commencing Term 4, 2025. This is a leave replacement contract. Experience teaching <strong>VCE Product and Design </strong>would be desirable. We seek candidates with strong teamwork abilities, effective classroom management skills, and a dedicated commitment to the values of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.</p>
<p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p>
<p>Your primary responsibilities will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Creating a child-safe environment for students.</li>
<li>Adhering to the school's Child Protection Policy and Child Safety Staff Code of Conduct.</li>
<li>Collaborating with various stakeholders, such as Class/House Mentors, Education Support Team, Year Level/House Coordinators, School Psychologists, and Heads of School, to monitor student progress and well-being.</li>
<li>Providing timely marking and feedback to student work.</li>
<li>Ensuring up-to-date student data management systems.</li>
<li>Developing and delivering programs that leverage technology to enhance learning.</li>
<li>Setting and maintaining high expectations for student performance standards.</li>
<li>Complying with ongoing professional development requirements as per VIT guidelines.</li>
<li>Identifying personal professional learning needs and participating in the annual Professional Learning Plan process.</li>
<li>Actively engaging in internal and external professional development to enhance teaching practices.</li>
<li>Utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively engage students in their learning journey.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Skills/Experience Required:</strong></p>
<p>We require the following qualifications and qualities in the ideal candidate:</p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.</li>
<li>A strong commitment to Catholic education.</li>
<li>Ability to build and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.</li>
<li>Skills to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students.</li>
<li>An eagerness to learn and grow in the field of education.</li>
<li>Proficiency in implementing a differentiated curriculum and leveraging modern technology to support student learning.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Special Requirements:</strong></p>
<p>At De La Salle College Malvern, the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children are paramount. Therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.</p>
<p>The successful applicant must hold a valid Victorian Institute of Teaching registration. While accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite.</p>
