<p><strong>Learning Area Coordinator - Mathematics (Head of Maths)</strong><br><strong>Contract Type:</strong> Permanent Full-Time Position, (with Leadership Allowance)</p> <p>Faith Lutheran College is seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics educator to lead our Years 7-12 Mathematics Learning Area. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students, mentor staff, and shape the future of Mathematics learning in a vibrant Christian school community.</p> <p><strong>The Position</strong></p> <p>As <strong>Learning Area Coordinator - Mathematics</strong>, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership and oversight of middle-school mathematics using the Maths Pathway platform.</li> <li>Guide curriculum development, pedagogy, and assessment practices, with alignment to both SACE and IB (MYP) requirements and contemporary best practice in Mathematics education.</li> <li>Mentor and support staff through professional growth, collaboration, and modelling exemplary classroom practice.</li> <li>Foster differentiated and inclusive learning experiences that engage all students and support their academic and wellbeing needs.</li> <li>Build strong, supportive relationships with staff, students, and families, underpinned by clear communication and collaboration.</li> <li>Contribute to the broader life of the College, embracing innovation, professional learning, and the use of digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Hold relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.</li> <li>Demonstrate strong curriculum and assessment knowledge, particularly with SACE Mathematics and the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP).</li> <li>Be an inspiring educator with proven success in teaching Mathematics across multiple year levels including the capacity to deliver Methods / Specialist Maths at senior level.</li> <li>Have experience in faculty or team leadership, with the ability to mentor and support colleagues.</li> <li>Be a collaborative, proactive professional with strong communication and organisational skills.</li> <li>Commit to the values and ethos of Faith Lutheran College and Lutheran Education Australia.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Faith Lutheran College</strong></p> <p>Faith Lutheran College, located in the heart of the Barossa Valley, is a thriving co-educational ELC - 12 College and an International Baccalaureate World School.
