Wenona is seeking a dynamic Maths educator to lead Years 7–12, driving excellence in teaching and shaping an inclusive faculty culture.
<p>Wenona is seeking a dynamic and experienced educator to lead our Maths faculty. This is a unique opportunity to champion excellence in teaching and learning and shape a vibrant, inclusive culture across Years 7–12.</p>
<p>As Head of Maths, you will provide strategic and instructional leadership, guide curriculum delivery, and inspire a high-performing team to deliver contemporary, differentiated learning experiences. You will bring deep expertise in NESA and HSC requirements, model exemplary practice, and foster a collaborative and professional environment with a strong emphasis on student wellbeing and continuous improvement.</p>
<p><strong>The Position</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide leadership and oversight of the Mathematics faculty (Years 7–12), ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, curriculum, and assessment.</li>
<li>Guide the faculty in HSC standards, NESA curriculum requirements, and contemporary pedagogies, supporting best practice in teaching and learning.</li>
<li>Mentor and support staff through professional development, collaboration, and modelling high-quality classroom practice.</li>
<li>Foster inclusive and differentiated learning approaches to meet the diverse academic and wellbeing needs of all students.</li>
<li>Build strong, effective relationships with staff, students, parents, and the wider school community, underpinned by excellent communication skills.</li>
<li>Contribute to the broader life of the school, embracing innovation, professional learning, and the use of ICT to enhance engagement.</li>
</ul>
<p>This is a permanent teacher position, with a five-year leadership contract, looking to commence in Term 1 2026.</p>
<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>To be successful in this role, you will hold a relevant teaching qualification with current NESA accreditation and bring strong curriculum and assessment knowledge, particularly in HSC practices. Experience with HSC marking, K–12 teaching, or the PYP will be advantageous. You will be a collaborative educator with excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to teaching and learning, and a commitment to continuous professional growth. Above all, you will foster a supportive, engaging environment that reflects Wenona’s values.</p>
