<p><strong>Frontline (IT) Trainee – Northern Beaches, North Shore, and Central Coast Regions (Multiple Opportunities)&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Frontline Trainee position is a <strong>24-month</strong> program <strong>designed for 2025 school leavers</strong> who are passionate about technology, eager to learn, committed to developing their IT skillset and most importantly, eager to help others. This role provides on-site support at various schools.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>The Frontline Trainee will work closely with experienced IT professionals, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in areas such as hardware and software troubleshooting, network administration, cybersecurity, and IT support.&nbsp;</p> <p>This position provides an excellent opportunity for career growth and advancement within the IT field. In this traineeship, <strong>you will study to obtain your</strong> <strong>Certificate III and IV in Information Technology.</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>This role requires on-site attendance at one of our eight (8) secondary schools within CSBB, under the supervision of the Trainee Coordinator and well supported by an appointed mentor. This provides an excellent springboard for young people looking to pursue a career in Information Technology. <strong>There are currently vacancies for the Northern Beaches, North Shore, and Central Coast Regions.</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Please note this is an entry level position; </strong>applicants with prior IT qualifications will not be considered, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Engage with instructions regarding work, training and coursework.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Complete and partake in necessary training to complete relevant Cert III and Cert IV in Information Technology&nbsp;</li> <li>Undertake tasks, assessments and assignments as per the allocated course&nbsp;</li> <li>Interact with students and staff in appointed school to provide technical support. This experience will help develop strong customer service and communication skills, which are essential for IT support roles.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work closely with school stakeholders and seek to deliver solutions under the guidance of the Trainee Coordinator.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Install and configure hardware and software on devices including PCs, laptops and tablets.&nbsp;</li> <li>Troubleshooting of programs and applications to resolve issues that may occur;&nbsp;</li> <li>Enrolment of devices to the CSBB Network;&nbsp;</li> <li>Assist with the Digital Enablement Service Desk via the portal and in person;&nbsp;</li> <li>Completion of work logged by staff onsite in a timely manner;&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensuring CSBB implemented project outcomes are met/maintained;&nbsp;</li> <li>Deploying/ Disposing of technology used by staff and students.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Following cybersecurity best practices as determined by CSBB to help protect the organisation’s data and systems.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products&nbsp;</li> <li>Is energised by working in a fast-paced environment&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong passion for technology and a desire to build a career in IT&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a team and learn from experienced IT professionals&nbsp;</li> <li>Eagerness to adapt to new technologies and processes&nbsp;</li> <li>Attention to detail&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Commitment to upholding IT security and confidentiality&nbsp;</li> <li>Driven by a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service to people&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>NSW Valid Working With Children Check&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</li> <li>Permanent Working Rights in Australia&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Desirable Criteria&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Current NSW Driver’s License (and own car)&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Us</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>At Catholic Schools Broken Bay, our Vision is to provide ‘Authentic, professional Catholic education, delivered with care and compassion’.
