<p><strong>About the role</strong></p>
<p>We are looking for a Deputy Head of Primary – Pastoral Care and Operations (K-6) to support the College community in the continued promotion of the philosophy of the College, which is founded on the Mission Statement. This role involves working closely with the Head of Primary to make decisions regarding the pastoral care, wellbeing and behaviour of students. It also involves leading wellbeing initiatives and working collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies so that student feels valued and empowered to achieve their fullest potential. </p>
<p><strong>Skills, experience and attributes required</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialisation in a related field </li>
<li>Masters degree in education/leadership would be highly regarded </li>
<li>Must hold valid teacher registration with the QCT </li>
<li>Experience and understanding of Restorative Practice within a primary school setting </li>
<li>Demonstrated success in delivering pastoral care in current or previous role </li>
<li>Demonstrated engagement in ongoing professional development that enhances, restorative practices, teaching & leadership skills, keeping up-to-date with curriculum changes, and staying informed about best practices in education through participation in workshops, conferences, and professional learning communities that contribute to continuous growth as an educator. </li>
<li>High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within the College environment, the general public and external agencies with the possession of tact, diplomacy and discretion. </li>
<li>Highly organised and skilled at planning ahead </li>
<li>A current First Aid Certificate would be desirable but not essential </li>
