<p><strong>STEM Teacher (0.4 FTE)</strong><br><i>St Padre Pio Catholic Primary School &nbsp;- Opening 2026!</i></p> <p>St Padre Pio Catholic Primary School is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic <strong>STEM Teacher (0.4 FTE)</strong> to join our dedicated and supportive school community. Starting date for the role will be the 27/1/2026.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a teacher who can foster creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving through engaging STEM learning experiences. The successful applicant will design and deliver inspiring programs that integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, while supporting the Catholic ethos and values of our school. Our specialist program will most likely run across Tuesday / Wednesday or Wednesday / Thursday in our foundation year.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Plan and implement hands-on, inquiry-based STEM lessons in line with the Victorian Curriculum.</li> <li>Encourage student curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration.</li> <li>Integrate digital technologies and innovative approaches into learning.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote STEM across the school.</li> <li>Contribute positively to our vibrant school community.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Current VIT registration.</li> <li>Qualifications and/or experience in STEM-related teaching areas.</li> <li>Strong understanding of the Victorian Curriculum.</li> <li>Effective communication and classroom management skills.</li> <li>Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.</li> </ul> <p><strong>We Offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>A welcoming and faith-filled school community.</li> <li>Opportunities for professional growth.</li> <li>The chance to inspire students to become creative problem-solvers and innovators.</li> </ul> <p><i>*There may be an opportunity for applicants to extend their role if required and desired (eg. intervention, classroom support, ongoing CRT work).
