<p><strong>About the role</strong></p>
<p>Westminster School is seeking an outstanding educator to take up the leadership role of Preparatory School Deputy: Wellbeing and Pastoral Care. This Position of Responsibility supports the Head of Preparatory School and collaborates with the Deputy Head of Prep School: Teaching and Learning and the Coordinator of Wellbeing to lead student wellbeing, pastoral care, and behaviour management across Transition to Year 6.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br>
• Oversee student pastoral care and discipline matters, following the Behaviour Management Policy.<br>
• Support staff with student handling and pastoral care issues.<br>
• Work collaboratively with teaching and co-curricular staff to embed practices that actively support student wellbeing.<br>
• Liaise and consult with parents, staff and students concerning student wellbeing and pastoral needs.<br>
• Maintain appropriate student records and documentation on the School’s Learning Management Platform.<br>
• Support the House Heads to deliver high impact house meetings and events.<br>
• Facilitate Year 6 Leadership programs including House Captains.<br>
• Work with the Wellbeing Coordinator to implement and teach a positive education program.</p>

<p>You will inspire and guide staff, support student development, and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive school culture. <br>
A collaborative and relational leader, you will have:<br><br>
• Demonstrated experience in a Pastoral Care leadership role at Primary level.<br>
• Deep understanding of pedagogy and student wellbeing.<br>
• Ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and families.<br>
• Accreditation as a Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher (or working toward it).<br>
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and innovation.</p>
<p>Aa a Position of Responsibility, the role has a 5-year tenure, Band 2 Allowance and permanent appointment as a teacher.</p>
