<p><strong>Learning Support Officers – Part Time, Fixed Term 2026 (with potential to extend)</strong></p> <p>Are you passionate about supporting young people in their learning journey? Sacred Heart College is seeking committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Officers (LSOs) to join our Inclusion and Diversity team.</p> <p>We have several part-time opportunities available in 2026 (0.52–0.86 FTE, across 3 to 5 days per week). You will work alongside teachers and the Inclusion and Diversity team to implement teacher-designed adjustments, support student inclusion, and contribute to a safe and empowering learning environment for all.</p> <p>We would love to hear from candidates with:</p> <ul> <li>Numeracy intervention experience or knowledge</li> <li>Multilingual skills or lived experience from a culturally and linguistically diverse or refugee background</li> <li>Experience supporting students with diverse or complex learning needs</li> <li>A passion for inclusive education and student wellbeing</li> </ul> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support the implementation and evaluation of student learning plans</li> <li>Assist in inclusive classroom practices and differentiated instruction</li> <li>Collaborate closely with teachers and Inclusion and Diversity staff</li> <li>Attend excursions and activities to promote student inclusion</li> <li>Maintain confidentiality and contribute to a child-safe learning environment</li> </ul> <p>Please refer to the attached Position Description for key information related to this role.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p> <p>You are a relationship-builder who connects with young people and brings energy, empathy and adaptability to your work. You’re also:</p> <ul> <li>Skilled in communicating and collaborating with a range of stakeholders</li> <li>Insightful about the challenges some students face in their education</li> <li>Able to take initiative and problem-solve in dynamic learning settings</li> <li>Committed to upholding the College’s Mercy values and child safety standards</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications &amp; Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience working with young people (desirable)</li> <li>Relevant Certificate III or equivalent experience (desirable)</li> </ul> <p>All employees are subject to appropriate employment and compliance checks prior to and during employment.
