<p><strong>Position Purpose</strong></p> <p>The SME Curriculum K-12, will lead curriculum development and implementation for all Key Learning Areas K-12 in alignment with NESA curriculum reform and ensure school compliance in all areas of curriculum K-12.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Commencement</strong></p> <p>The commencement will be negotiated with the successful applicant, ideally at the start of the 2026 school year, 27 January 2026.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum in all Key Learning Areas (KLAs), ensuring alignment with current NESA curriculum reforms.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in planning, facilitating, and evaluating professional learning (PL) for teachers across a range of KLAs, including the development of resources, training modules, and LMS-based materials.</li> <li>In-depth understanding of NESA curriculum, syllabus structures, and compliance frameworks, including the ability to support schools in meeting Quality and Compliance Registration requirements.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in preparing for and supporting school audits, with attention to accuracy, timelines, and regulatory expectations.</li> <li>Proven ability to inspire and lead others through strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Capacity to act as a strategic and instructional leader, using data, research, and evidence of impact to inform curriculum planning, resource development, and school improvement strategies.</li> <li>Current driver’s license and willingness to undertake travel including overnight stays to fulfill the requirements of the role.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Conditions of employment</strong></p> <ul> <li>This is a temporary position for up to 12 months.&nbsp;</li> <li>This role is available as a secondment for staff already employed by Armidale Catholic Schools.
