<p><strong>Location:</strong> John Therry Catholic College, Rosemeadow</p> <p>John Therry Catholic College is a Catholic co-educational school situated in Rosemeadow in the city of Campbelltown and part of the Diocese of Wollongong. Established by the Marist Brothers the College maintains a strong Marist charism, tradition and affiliation with Marist Ministries. The College provides a wide curriculum to approximately 1100 students as we strive for academic success while offering many sporting, cultural and extracurricular opportunities. &nbsp; Our motto, Recta Sapere – (to know what is right) is lived throughout the College as we develop young people who will make a positive contribution to our community and continue to make a difference in an ever-changing world.</p> <p>A permanent full time position commencing 27 January 2026 or by negotiation. The successful applicant will be required to lead a team of committed professionals in the Diverse Learning faculty.</p> <p>The role of Middle Leader 2 exists to support the principal in implementing the vision and mission of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students and assist the school leadership team in the conduct and organisation of the school.</p> <p>The Diverse Learning Coordinator 7-12 (2-point) at John Therry Catholic College, Rosemeadow will work with all staff to cater for the learning and development needs of students in regular and specialist classes at the College.</p> <p>The scope of this leadership role requires the applicant to:</p> <ul> <li>Understand and implement School and System policies and procedures, The&nbsp;<i>Disability Standards for Education 2005</i>&nbsp;aligned to The&nbsp;<i>Disability Discrimination Act (1992)</i>&nbsp;and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data</li> <li>Lead, mentor and work collaboratively with staff to build the capabilities of all staff to develop an inclusive and supportive culture to meet the diverse needs of students, across mainstream and specialist settings through:</li> <li>overseeing learning support staffing, structures and processes to best meet student needs</li> <li>supporting quality differentiated teaching practice across the college</li> <li>monitoring and reviewing adjustments to cater for diverse needs</li> <li>overseeing the provision of small group and targeted individual interventions within and outside the regular class</li> </ul> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <p>The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:</p> <ul> <li>Has a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li>Demonstrates a commitment to academic excellence and a sound knowledge of contemporary approaches to pedagogy including the nature of assessment and differentiated learning.</li> <li>Builds a learning culture of shared responsibility for quality teaching and student learning growth, informed by data.</li> <li>Displays an ability to lead learning and foster innovation and creativity in a collaborative environment.</li> <li>Has a comprehensive understanding of NESA requirements and a proven ability to implement effective teaching programs.</li> <li>Knowledge and understanding of requirements of all courses within the relevant KLA.</li> </ul> <p>DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in conjunction with the broader school community and external support personnel to enhance student outcomes and well-being.</li> <li>Experience in a KLA Coordinator or similar level position previously.</li> </ul> <p>The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:</p> <ul> <li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li>Strong organisational skills.</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching a course to HSC Level.</li> <li>Level C Accreditation aligned &nbsp;in accordance with to ‘Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong’ &nbsp;policy or a commitment to gain within the first contractual period.</li> <li>NESA Accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as a child related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.</p> <p>POSITION APPLICATION</p> <p>To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.
