The College Council is seeking to appoint a new Principal as it continues its vision to recognise each student as an individual and offer a comprehensive education which allows them to reach their potential as both learners and the leaders of tomorrow. The preferred date of commencement is January 2026 or as negotiated.

<p>Good Shepherd Lutheran College is a co-educational Prep to Year 12 College serving the families of the breathtakingly beautiful Noosa district on the Sunshine Coast. Centrally located 130kms from the Brisbane CBD, Good Shepherd Lutheran College is situated on a 9.5 hectare campus.&nbsp; The College was established in 1987 by the Lutheran Church and is part of Lutheran Education Queensland.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The College Council is seeking a leader who will continue to shape the College’s vision, and lead the College with wisdom, innovation and a steadfast commitment to student success.&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>The preferred date of commencement is January 2026 or as negotiated.</strong></p> <p>Good Shepherd is organised to be reflective of students' needs at a particular age: Little Lambs Early Learning Centre offering a Kindergarten program, Junior Years (Prep to Year 5), Middle Years (Years 6-9) and Senior Years (Years 10-12). Students benefit from comprehensive contemporary P-12 learning programs that are developmentally linked for smooth transition across each stage of schooling.&nbsp;</p> <p>Worship is central to college life. The College recognises the wide range of needs and denominations within its community. Good Shepherd’s worship programs are rounded in Lutheran theology and are structured in such a way as to nurture spiritual and faith formation.&nbsp;</p> <p>The wellbeing of students is central to Good Shepherd with the aim that all students feel a sense of belonging to the College community.</p> <p>Good Shepherd’s camp program involves all students from Years 3–10 and includes a four week ‘Outward Bound’ style camp experience, known as Googa, for those in Year 7 and Year 10. Good Shepherd camps have a focus on developing the individual spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically through team building initiatives-based programs and self-reliance, confidence and esteem building.&nbsp;</p> <p>This is an outstanding opportunity for a high-performing, motivated and energetic educational leader with a heart for contemporary teaching and learning, a commitment to excellence, and an awareness of the importance of engaging with students, staff, parents, and the wider community to build relationships, maintain momentum and realise the College’s vision.&nbsp;</p> <p>The successful applicant will:</p> <ul> <li>Be an active communicant member of the Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand (LCANZ).</li> <li>Be <a href="https://www.lutheran.edu.au/school-professionals-2/accreditation/" rel="nofollow">accredited as a leader in Lutheran Schools</a> or be eligible and willing to work towards accreditation.</li> <li>Have significant and successful experience in teaching and educational administration.</li> <li>Have the capacity for Christian witnessing and servant leadership to further the nurturing of the Christian mission of the school and encourage and develop a caring community.</li> <li>Hold or be eligible for teacher registration in Queensland through the Queensland College of Teachers.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Applications close Friday 19 September at 4.00pm.</strong></p>
