<p>St John’s is located in the beautiful coastal town of Portland VIC. We currently have 115 students structured in Foundation to Year 6.</p> <p>We seek self-motivated applicants, who possess good communication skills and can work unsupervised, as well as part of a team. Undertake maintenance and repair work to the school buildings and grounds to ensure it is a safe environment for the school community.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Undertake repair/maintenance work as required to school buildings e.g. replacing locks, windows &amp; light bulbs, patching holes, woodwork repairs</li> <li>Perform routine maintenance of equipment</li> <li>Estimate repair costs and document repairs undertaken</li> <li>Handle, store and distribute goods/materials</li> <li>Move equipment/furniture as required</li> <li>Upkeep school grounds e.g mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, disposing of litter</li> <li>Assist with school improvements e.g. fencing, paving, gardening projects</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p><strong>What we are looking for:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in general maintenance of grounds/buildings</li> <li>Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general trade maintenance</li> <li>Understanding of machinery/equipment operation relating to building maintenance</li> <li>Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team</li> <li>Excellent communication skills</li> <li>Trade background is desirable</li> <li>Current driver’s licence and use of own vehicle</li> <li>Current Working with Children Check for paid employment&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The successful applicant will be a positive, dynamic and creative professional who sets themselves high expectations in their work.
