At Holy Spirit Catholic College, we prepare young people to thrive - equipped with the knowledge, values, and confidence to navigate the challenges of the modern world.<br><br><strong>Position Highlights</strong><br><br> The Learning Support Officer works closely with teaching staff to support students with diverse learning needs in accessing the curriculum. Responsibilities include providing one-on-one or small group support under teaching guidance, helping implement personalised learning plans, preparing learning materials and resources, and supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom routines.&nbsp;<br><br> This full-time role is scheduled to commence in Term 4, 2025.<br><br><strong>About You</strong><br><br> As part of our team you will assist the classroom teacher in providing a quality Catholic education focused on maximising student outcomes, through a holistic, student centred curriculum.<br><br> Success in this position will be supported by the following skills and qualities:</p> <ul> <li>a Certificate III or IV in Educational Support from TAFE NSW or equivalent post-secondary qualification</li> <li>a demonstrated commitment to student well-being and child safety</li> <li>a proactive mindset and the ability to take initiative</li> <li>patience, empathy, and a supportive approach to working with students</li> <li>the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment</li> <li>strong communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>ability to be organised, supportive and resourceful</li> <li>proven ability to exercise independent initiative and judgement when required</li> <li>a genuine willingness to support the positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for students.</li> </ul> <p>Desirable:</p> <ul> <li>experience in working with young people with disabilities and complex needs</li> <li>basic IT proficiency and familiarity with educational technologies.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Work for Sydney Catholic Schools</strong><br><br> In joining <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/">Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS)</a>, you will be part of the largest Catholic education community in NSW, with a unified vision and shared resources, encompassing over 145 schools and over 74,000 students. Base salary ranges from $63,600 to $83,170.
