Visual Arts and Textiles are the central requirements, and the ability to teach D7T is a distinct advantage.

<p>The Headmaster seeks to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced Christian educator to this full-time permanent position within the highly professional, dynamic, and industrious Technology and Creative Design Faculty. The successful applicant will be required to teach Stages 4, 5 and 6 Visual Arts and Stage 6 Textiles. The ability to teach D&amp;T would be a distinct advantage.&nbsp;</p> <p>The staff of Macarthur are beneficiaries of an Apple laptop computer (for the duration of employment), a supportive Christian teaching environment and well-resourced facilities within the newly developed Visual Arts and Textile Studios. This building is part of the Integrated Studies Precinct, containing the teaching spaces for the Faculty of Technology and Creative Design, the Faculty of Mathematics and the Faculty of Science.</p> <p>Candidates for this role will be required to demonstrate:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>a passion for teaching and a deep knowledge of the syllabus documents across the Faculty;&nbsp;</li> <li>a particular passion for the Visual Arts and Textiles, including your own practice;&nbsp;</li> <li>an innovative approach to teaching and learning;&nbsp;</li> <li>an understanding of and commitment to student well-being;&nbsp;</li> <li>well-developed written, oral and organisational skills;</li> <li>a comprehensive understanding of classroom differentiation;&nbsp;</li> <li>a commitment to detailed and timely feedback to students; and,</li> <li>a deep understanding of how students think and learn.</li> </ul> <p>The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate innovative use of ICT in teaching and learning, proficiency in writing teaching programmes, and an understanding of best practices in student assessment and feedback.
