We are looking to appoint a Head of English for a 5 year tenure, and we are also looking for a full time English Teacher who has experience in teaching English to Stage 1 & 2.

<p><strong>About the role</strong></p>
<p><strong>Head of English Department Role – 5 year Tenure</strong></p>
<p><strong>Full Time, Permanent Teaching Role</strong></p>
<p>Head of English Department will be responsible for the leadership and oversight of staff, resources, curriculum offerings, academic standards and assessment, learning outcomes for the department and resource management. </p>
<p>The Teaching position has the responsibility for the planning, organisation, implementation, and delivery of quality instructional programs within a secondary learning environment and will also have responsibility for a designated Care Group. The successful applicant will be a qualified and experienced teacher, with significant experience teaching English to Stage 1 & 2 students, as well as to students in Years 7-10. </p>
<p>We envision an experienced teacher with a proven record in education, a true passion for English and literature, committed to excellence in Christian co-education, and an understanding of Restorative Practices, and the principles of Lutheran education to join our team.</p>
<p><strong>About you</strong></p>
<p>You will have experience and a thorough understanding of SACE requirements and regulations in relation to the English curriculum with the ability to lead, develop and set the cultural standards for a team of dedicated teaching staff.</p>
<p>You will be a high performing and motivated Lutheran educator, who engages effectively with students, staff, parents and the wider Endeavour College community.</p>
<p><strong>You will have:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Education, etc.)</li>
<li>Current SA Teacher Registration</li>
<li>Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)</li>
<li>Current Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect Certificate. RRHAN-EC </li>
<li>Current Applied First Aid – in an Education environment</li>
<li>Appropriate qualifications and experience teaching English (Years 7-12 with experience in Stage 1 & 2)</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills</li>
<li>Motivation and a passion to work with and support young people on their journey through secondary education.</li>
<li>Enthusiasm and flexibility with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment</li>
<li>Ability and desire to actively support the values and ethos of a Christian school.</li>
</ul>
<p>All teaching staff are expected to continually engage in professional learning and development to improve teaching knowledge and practices. All work is to be performed in accordance with Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) professional standards.</p>
