<p><strong>Junior School Year Coordinator</strong><br><strong>Type:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>Full Time,&nbsp;Permanent Position<br><strong>Start Date:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>Term 1, January 2026<br><strong>Closing date:&nbsp; </strong>2 September 2025&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>MLC School</strong>&nbsp;is seeking a passionate and experienced educator to join our Junior School as a Year Coordinator.&nbsp; This leadership role is grounded in the School’s vision, mission, and values, and is pivotal in fostering a cohesive and supportive learning environment for students and staff.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Position</strong></p> <p>The Year Coordinator leads many aspects of grade-level management, including collaborative curriculum planning, assessment design, pastoral care, and wellbeing initiatives. The successful candidate will maintain a teaching load and demonstrate a commitment to differentiated instruction that meets the diverse needs of students.<br><br> As a Junior School Year Coordinator – your key accountabilities are:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Leadership</strong>&nbsp;- proactive member of the Junior School Leadership team, reporting and escalating any issues concerning students, staff and the community.</li> <li><strong>Teaching &amp; Learning Curriculum Administration&nbsp;</strong>- assist with curriculum compliance for registration and accreditation for the relevant grade; lead student data analysis; facilitate collaborative planning; administer and provide feedback on specific grade programs; develop and review assessment schedules and comply with assessment and reporting requirements particular to the grade.</li> <li><strong>Student Reports&nbsp;</strong>- assist in the development of meaningful reports; oversee the allocation and distribution of report grades and assist in areas of reporting and feedback as required.&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Pastoral Care &amp; Student Wellbeing&nbsp;</strong>- manage and lead student wellbeing across the grade; manage minor pastoral care student issues and lead Academic Care Team meetings.</li> <li><strong>Other&nbsp;</strong>- lead a special project depending on the needs of the Junior School and Whole School.</li> </ul> <p>This role receives a Level 1 Leadership Allowance.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience as a Classroom Teacher and familiarity with the NSW primary curriculum.</li> <li>Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a passion for student wellbeing.</li> <li>Post-graduate qualifications in education or leadership (desirable).</li> <li>Stong interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to lead with empathy, integrity and vision.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Why Join MLC School?</strong></p> <p>At MLC School, we&nbsp;<strong>dare to be more</strong>—for our students and our staff.
