We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and experienced teacher with a strong academic background to join our highly successful English Faculty. This is a <strong>full time</strong> temporary (maternity leave position) commencing on Monday, 10 November 2025 until the end of Term 3, 2026. As an <strong>English Teacher</strong>, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.<br><br>
The successful applicant will:</p>

<li>support the mission and ethos of the Catholic School in the Clarion and Franciscan traditions</li>
<li>show highly developed interpersonal and communication skills</li>
<li>use creative and innovative teaching practices to provide a rich environment that caters for diversity and academic rigor</li>
<li>exhibit knowledge of emerging technologies and show the ability to integrate these to enhance contemporary learning experiences</li>
<li>be an innovative educator who is future-focused and has a passion for working collaboratively</li>
<li>demonstrate the ability and qualifications to teach English from stage 4 to stage 6</li>
<li>have knowledge of the new NSW curriculum</li>
<li>support the literacy needs of all students</li>
<li>utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress</li>
<li>employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback</li>
<li>demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being.</li>

<p>You will have attained:</p>
<ul>
<li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li>
<li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li>
<li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools">Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</a>.</li>
