The College is seeking a committed and spiritual Religious Education Teacher to make a meaningful impact to our students commencing Term I, 2026.
<p><i>Established in 1879, St Aloysius' College is a Catholic, Jesuit day school for boys from Year 3 to Year 12. Situated in the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it has an enrolment of over 1300 students.</i></p>

<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p><strong>Religious Education Teacher</strong></p>
<p>St Aloysius’ College is seeking to appoint a dedicated and qualified Religious Education Teacher who is committed to the teachings of Catholic Education, the Christian faith, and proposes Christ as the model of human life, whilst also teaching an understanding of the traditions and diversity of other world religions.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in Religious Education with experience in teaching Stage 6 Religious Education as an essential component. You will demonstrate a willingness to integrate innovative pedagogy and contemporary classroom teaching practice that both supports and challenges students, and also embrace a collaborative approach to teaching and learning with members across faculties.</p>
<p>You will demonstrate the ability to plan, prepare and deliver rich and meaningful learning experiences that will greatly contribute to fostering a passion of learning about Christ, beliefs, life and culture. Furthermore, demonstrating an inquiry-based approach to stimulate a search for meaning and truth in our students. </p>
<p>Reporting to the Head of Religious Education, this full-time, ongoing position is ideal for an experienced and dedicated Religious Education professional.</p>

<p><strong>Your Application</strong></p>
<p>The successful candidate will demonstrate:</p>
<ul>
<li>Commitment to the Catholic Education of boys in the Jesuit Tradition;</li>
<li>Possess appropriate secondary school teaching qualifications, specifically in Religious Education, and eligibility to teach under the requirements of NESA and College policy;</li>
<li>Experience or capacity to teach Stage 6 Studies of Religion is essential; </li>
<li>Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with teachers in the development, implementation and evaluation of NESA based programs;</li>
<li>Proven ability to facilitate a warm, engaging and high-quality learning environment that meets the academic, social and emotional needs of all students;</li>
<li>High level of interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with staff, students, parents and the broader College community;</li>
<li>Excellent ICT skills and the ability to integrate technology into learning programs to improve educational outcomes;</li>
<li>Commitment to academic excellence;</li>
<li>Possess a valid Working with Children Check;</li>
