<p>St Monica’s seeks a qualified and experienced <strong>Learning Support Officer</strong> to support our learning program.&nbsp;</p> <p>At St Monica’s School, we hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as a central and fundamental responsibility of our school.&nbsp;</p> <p>The role of a Learning Support Officer is to ensure all students are provided with assistance to achieve competency within the normal range of student outcomes or in accordance with their personalised learning plans.</p> <p><strong>To be successful in this position you will have the following:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.</li> <li>Be able to provide 1:1 support to a student.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in both oral and written communication.</li> <li>Sound Literacy and Numeracy skills.</li> <li>Capacity to participate in various school activities such as sports, sacramental programs, liturgies and school excursions.</li> <li>Capacity to develop and maintain strong working relationships with all staff.</li> <li>Flexibility to work across different year levels as required.</li> <li>Support classroom teachers and school leadership in duties that promote student wellbeing and school improvement.</li> <li>Ability to work with individual students with disabilities, impairments or learning difficulties.</li> <li>Keep privileged information confidential.</li> <li>Collaborate with teachers in monitoring and evaluating individual student progress.</li> <li>Provide classroom teachers and the Learning Diversity Leader with information on student progress and successful strategies.</li> <li>Self-motivated with a proven ability to work independently.</li> <li>Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.</li> </ul> <p>Please see the attached role description for further information about the position.&nbsp;</p> <p>We are seeking someone to work 3 days a week from&nbsp;<strong>9am-2pm</strong> to begin&nbsp;<strong>6th October 2025.&nbsp; </strong><u>Times and days can be negotiated</u>. <strong>There is a strong possibility of this role continuing in 2026 (possibly with additional days).</strong></p> <p>Applicants with a Certificate 4 in Education Support or equivalent or be a pre-service teacher currently enrolled in an education course at university are strongly encouraged to apply.&nbsp;</p> <p>Salary classification is dependent upon experience, duties and qualifications.&nbsp;</p> <p>Interested applicants are welcome to contact the school for additional information via phone (9689 4548) or email&nbsp;<a href="mailto:principal@smfootscray.catholic.edu.au?subject=Learning%20Support%20position%20%28via%20Teachers%20On%20Net%29">principal@smfootscray.catholic.edu.au</a>.&nbsp;</p> <p>Applicants must provide:&nbsp;</p> <p>1.
