<p><strong>About the Opportunity </strong></p>
<p>We are seeking for a passionate and forward thinking Social Science educator to join our team in a temporary full time role commencing Term 1 2026 until the end of Term 4 2026. </p>
<p>This is a fantastic opportunity to teach Social Science and contribute to a faculty that values curiosity, critical thinking and real world relevance. You’ll be part of a collaborative department that’s committed to delivering high impact learning experiences and supporting students to thrive academically and personally.</p>
<ul>
<li>Teach a range of subjects within Social Science, with a particular focus on<strong> </strong>Stage 6 Legal Studies and Junior Social Science. </li>
<li>Create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students through varied teaching strategies and pedagogical practices.</li>
<li>Participate in the Loreto Normanhurst Student Growth Model, which may include working within an Integrated Learning Team.</li>
<li>Foster collegial relationships within and beyond the faculty.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a commitment to pastoral care and the social and emotional wellbeing of young women.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>The Ideal Candidate</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Hold relevant education qualifications including current NESA accreditation and experience as a Social Science teacher.</li>
<li>Have knowledge of the syllabus requirements and ability to meet the aims, objectives and outcomes of the curriculum.</li>
<li>A genuine passion for and the ability to ignite a love of your subject in students across various stages. </li>
<li>Ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement.</li>
<li>Be a positive and collaborative contributor to a successful department committed to improving educational outcomes.</li>
