Grounded in the Anglican tradition and guided by Christian values, Redlands equips students with the skills and character to achieve life-readiness and to “let their light shine.”</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Opportunity</strong></p> <p>The Head of Secondary School reports to the Principal and is responsible for the academic, operational, and pastoral leadership of the Secondary School (Years 7–12) across the Cremorne and High Country campuses.</p> <p>The Head of Secondary School provides visible, relational leadership that inspires a culture of high expectations, wellbeing, and continuous improvement. Working collaboratively with an experienced Executive team and leading a team of deans, the role empowers staff and students to thrive in a dynamic, values-driven learning environment.</p> <p><strong>Key Selection Criteria</strong></p> <p>The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>Commitment to fostering an inclusive, visible and values-based school culture that actively shapes the spiritual, emotional, and cultural life of the Secondary School community.</li> <li>Deep understanding of contemporary teaching and learning practices, with the ability to lead diverse academic pathways while promoting student engagement, achievement, and wellbeing.</li> <li>Deep commitment to the wellbeing, development and conduct of students, ensuring a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment.</li> <li>Proven capacity to lead innovation and continuous improvement through strategic planning, system refinement and adaptive change management that enhances both academic and pastoral outcomes.</li> <li>Strong commitment to building the capability and wellbeing of staff through mentoring, collaborative leadership, and the development of a high-performing, supportive leadership team.</li> <li>Demonstrated expertise in the operational and strategic leadership of a complex school environment, including staffing, budgets, compliance, enrolments and day-to-day management.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>This is a full-time, five-year appointment commencing in January 2026.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The successful candidate will also have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The right to work in Australia</li> <li>Eligibility for NESA teacher accreditation</li> <li>Excellent organisational and communication skills</li> <li>Contemporary knowledge of child safeguarding obligations and responsibilities, with a commitment to driving the safeguarding culture</li> <li>Clearance to work with children (WWCC)</li> <li>A calm, supportive and confident presence, matched with energy, sound judgement, resilience and a strong alignment to the values and Christian heritage of Redlands</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>A Master’s degree in education, leadership, or a related field</li> <li>A current First Aid certificate</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p> <p>Redlands is partnering with Hutton Consulting Australia in the search and selection process for this position.
