St Michael’s has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as our PYP Coordinator in 2026. This is a full time, permanent position, working closely with staff and the Principal. The PYP Coordinator is a senior leadership role; allowing the successful candidate to be independent and self-directed in their work.

<p>St Michael’s Lutheran Primary School is seeking a dynamic and visionary <strong>PYP Coordinator</strong> to join our leadership team in 2026. This is a <strong>full-time, permanent senior leadership role</strong>, working closely with our Principal and dedicated team to shape and lead exceptional teaching and learning.</p>

<p><strong>About the Role</strong><br>
As PYP Coordinator, you will:</p>

<li>Lead curriculum design and PYP implementation in collaboration with teachers and school leaders</li>
<li>Champion best practices in inquiry-based, inclusive education</li>
<li>Inspire innovation and professional growth across the teaching team</li>
<li>Play an active role in the life and mission of the Christian school community</li>
<li>Model and foster strong partnerships with students, staff, and families</li>
<li>Be self-directed and independent in your work, while also being deeply collaborative</li>
<li>Support the development of whole-school strategic goals, and step into Acting Principal responsibilities as required</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Extensive experience in the IB Primary Years Programme</li>
<li>Deep understanding of inquiry pedagogy and current educational research</li>
<li>Familiarity with Science of Reading and its application in early years and primary education</li>
<li>Strong leadership capabilities and demonstrated impact in previous roles</li>
<li>A values-aligned approach to leadership and learning</li>
<li>Commitment to the mission and ethos of a Christian school</li>
</ul>
