<ul> <li>Senior Leadership role, Full Time, Fixed Term 5 years (+5)</li> <li>All Boys Independent Catholic Secondary School</li> <li>Assistant Principal Level $149,763 - $157,119 + Super</li> </ul> <p><strong>About the role</strong></p> <p>This is a newly created role that provides an exciting opportunity for the right educator to have a significant impact on the future direction of our College.&nbsp; They will work in collaboration with our Director of Curriculum to improve educational outcomes for our students to ensure that we remain the school of choice for boys in North Queensland.</p> <p>As a member of the College Leadership Team this position will provide the leadership and expertise necessary to ensure that Teaching and Learning is aligned with the mission, goals and objectives of the College.&nbsp; Amongst other things, they will lead the Dean of Senior School and Dean of Junior School to use data to inform pedagogical approaches adopted by the College, they will develop and implement a College Learning and Teaching Framework, they will to upskill and empower all teachers to embed the use of data in their everyday work and they will be responsible for ensuring consistency and excellence in learning and teaching across the College.</p> <p><strong>About the contract</strong></p> <p>The position is<strong> fixed term (5 years + 5), full time.&nbsp; This position is a timetabled teaching role of up to two lines.</strong></p> <p><strong>About you</strong></p> <p>To be considered for this role you will need:</p> <ul> <li>Valid working rights within Australia.</li> <li>Be committed to the goals, ethos and mission of the College as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition and be willing to support and participate in the prayer, liturgy and sacramental life of the Church in the school community.</li> <li>A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision and ethos of Ignatius Park College.</li> <li>Appropriate Tertiary qualifications in Education and a current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.</li> <li>Post-graduate qualifications in educational leadership or education (highly desirable).</li> <li>Demonstrated and successful senior leadership experience within a school environment (highly desirable).</li> <li>Substantial knowledge of and demonstrated experience in Learning and Teaching initiatives and development, particularly in relation to the learning engagement strategies.</li> <li>An educational vision for teacher performance and development, and experience leading colleagues in a collaborative team environment.</li> <li>Proven ability to drive innovation and change in educational settings.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About our Organisation</strong></p> <p>Ignatius Park College is an all-boys Independent Catholic secondary school located in Townsville, North Queensland catering for approximately 950 boys from Years 7-12.&nbsp; The College is a member of the Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) network of 55 schools across Australia.&nbsp; Ignatius Park College has a tradition of academic, cultural, sporting, spiritual and personal excellence by providing the highest standards of staff, facilities and opportunities for students in a caring Christian environment.
