Recent enrolments have increase, therefore we invite suitability qualified and experienced cello professionals to become an instrumental music tutor. We have five existing enrolments, with the high chance of further growth, as the second semester of this program begins. There may also be a future opportunity to provide services in an ensemble.</p> <p>Starting in as soon as possible until the end of the 2025 College year, this contract will commence at approximately three hours per week. There is scope for flexibility with days and times, providing that the successful candidate can demonstrate suitable scheduling skills. Availability on a Monday, Wednesday or Thursday for the lessons would be an advantage, but not essential.</p> <p>Tertiary music students are welcome to apply.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide tuition to individual students, or groups of students, with specific instrumental and/or ensemble music lessons</li> <li>Inspire, motivate and guide students towards regular practice and continuous improvement</li> <li>Keep detailed records of each instrumental music lesson with the student/groups</li> <li>Assist and/or supervise students during instrumental and/or ensemble music lessons, rehearsals and concert performances as required</li> <li>Work collaboratively as a member of the Kilbreda community to develop resources and materials to support student instrumental and ensemble music programs</li> <li>Undertake administrative tasks as requested</li> <li>To observe the confidentiality and privacy expectations of the College</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p><strong>The successful candidate will have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Qualifications in music/performing arts, with experience, or be working towards gaining a qualification&nbsp;</li> <li>Working with Children Check (employee) and National Police Check</li> <li>Experience in an educational environment (advantage)</li> <li>A strong&nbsp;commitment to&nbsp;teamwork and working collaboratively with others</li> <li>Excellent&nbsp;interpersonal,&nbsp;organizational and communication&nbsp;skills</li> <li>Demonstrated&nbsp;commitment&nbsp;to&nbsp;Catholic&nbsp;Education&nbsp;and&nbsp;an understanding&nbsp;of&nbsp;the importance&nbsp;of&nbsp;charism and&nbsp;spiritual tradition&nbsp;in the&nbsp;life&nbsp;of an&nbsp;order-owned Catholic&nbsp;school</li> <li>A commitment to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children</li> </ul> <p>You will be engaged as an Independent Contractor for this period and will therefore need to have a current ABN, including Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.</p> <p>If this sounds like the role for you then don’t hesitate, apply online now.
