The school was established in 1912 by the Sisters of Mercy and continues to promote the Mercy values of courage, respect, compassion and hospitality. The link to our Mercy values has been strengthened through our vision and mission with the emphasis on God's Mercy. These links are further strengthened by the family educator, whose role is to nurture strong and meaningful parish, parent and school relationships, so as to support the spiritual, social and educational formation of families.

A further feature of our school is the diverse curricular and co-curricular opportunities provided to enhance students' wellbeing and learning. These include, but are not limited to: STEM and Robotics, Science, Technology, a range of school and inter-school sporting programs, Drama, Visual Arts and the Amadeus Music Program.
