<p><strong>Agriculture Assistant - Full-Time</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and practical <strong>Agriculture Assistant</strong> to support the College’s agriculture program. This full-time role (Monday to Friday) involves the care and upkeep of animals, crops, vineyard and general agricultural facilities. The successful candidate will also be part of a rotating weekend roster, working with others to ensure the continuity of care for our farm assets.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist with day-to-day operations of the school farm including feeding and caring for livestock, maintenance of garden beds and crop plots, and vineyard support</li> <li>Operate and maintain agricultural equipment and machinery (e.g., tractors, forklifts, sprayers, vineyard and winery equipment)</li> <li>Undertake weed management, pest control, composting and irrigation maintenance</li> <li>Support staff and students during practical lessons and seasonal tasks</li> <li>Participate in a weekend and holiday roster with other team members</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Ideal Candidate Will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Enjoy working outdoors and be confident with animals and machinery</li> <li>Have a broad knowledge of general farming practices and horticulture</li> <li>Be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude and strong attention to detail</li> <li>Show initiative and a commitment to safety and sustainable practices</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)</li> <li>Current Driver’s Licence</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of safe farm practices, chemical handling and equipment use</li> <li>Flexibility to work weekend and holiday shifts as rostered</li> </ul> <p>Join our welcoming and passionate team at Faith, where education and agriculture come together to shape the future.</p> <p><strong>Apply</strong> via the "Apply for Job" button:</p> <p>Please submit your resume, a cover letter addressing the selection criteria and the names and contact details of three referees to Ms Trisha Price - HR Coordinator.</p>
