<p><strong>St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School, Freshwater is currently seeking a Canteen Manager. This is a temporary, part-time opportunity working 36 hours a fortnight until the end of the 2025 school year.</strong></p> <p><strong>The Canteen Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial management of the school canteen in accordance with Catholic Schools Broken Bay (CSBB) protocols and relevant government regulations. We have also introduced additional Staff Development Days plus further arrangements for teacher directed time throughout the year&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Staff voice:</strong> Our Enterprise Agreement reflects our deep commitment to having systems in place which give our frontline staff a genuine voice in their work&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Staff School Fee Discounts: </strong>Eligible staff receive a 25% discount on their children's school fees at our schools, pro-rated to their FTE&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Wellbeing Support:</strong> we provide a robust wellbeing program to ensure our staff thrive and grow.&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Middle Leaders Program</strong>: we have a comprehensive program to develop leadership capacity, including for aspiring leaders of tomorrow&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Teachers</strong> <strong>Overnight Allowance for Camps and Excursions</strong>&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Specific Criteria</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Operational and Financial Management</li> <li>Oversee the financial operations of the canteen in line with CSBB policies and procedures.</li> <li>Maintain accurate records, manage daily takings, and reconcile Qkr! transactions.</li> <li>Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain appropriate stock levels.</li> <li>Order stock using CSBB-qualified suppliers and manage inventory efficiently.</li> <li>Ensure all food handling and storage practices meet NSW Food Authority standards.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with the NSW Government Healthy School Canteen Strategy</li> <li>Maintain “Healthy Canteen” status and adhere to all relevant CSBB and NSW Health guidelines</li> <li>Comply with local Council health and safety regulations, including readiness for audits and inspections</li> <li>Coordinate and manage the servicing and maintenance of all canteen equipment (e.g., refrigerators, ovens, freezers)</li> <li>Recruit, schedule, and manage parent and community volunteers.</li> <li>Ensure all volunteers complete mandatory Child Protection and Food Safety training</li> <li>Communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders, including volunteers, students, staff, and parents</li> <li>Manage the Qkr! online ordering system, including uploading menu items, managing availability, generating reports, and producing labels.</li> <li>Respond to queries regarding missing orders or payments in a timely and professional manner</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with the Principal, Senior Administration Officer, and Parent Engagement Coordinator</li> <li>Have a current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and First Aid in an Education and Care Setting, including current certification in: Asthma Management Anaphylaxis Awareness and Emergency Response&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Us</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>We are Catholic Schools Broken Bay, a vibrant and enriching learning environment that spans the Central Coast, Sydney's Northern Beaches and the North Shore.
