We are seeking a full time, permanent specialist Junior School teacher to teach a newly created Year 6 accelerated learning class from the beginning of 2026.

Located in the Hills District in Sydney’s northwest, the College has modern facilities, is well resourced and can be easily accessed by car or the Metro Northwest rail.&nbsp;</p> <p>RHAC welcomes employment applications from suitability qualified people and encourages Christians involved in a church community to consider joining our staff team.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>All RHAC teachers are expected to construct teaching programs, based on RHAC’s 5 teaching and learning principles and applicable NESA syllabi, that will enable them to:</p> <ul> <li>Orchestrate lessons that maximise learning for all students in the class.</li> <li>Effectively teach students with identified needs.</li> <li>Provide meaningful feedback on the academic work students produce in a way that will help them to improve.</li> <li>Achieve strong academic results.</li> </ul> <p>The Junior School accelerated learning class teacher vacancy is a specialised role for a teacher with experience and/or additional training in gifted education. This teacher will provide a specialised, challenging learning environment for students who learn at a faster pace and have the capacity to use abstract and critical thinking skills. Invariably these students will have very strong literacy and numeracy skills and a curiosity for learning.&nbsp;</p> <p>Students in the accelerated learning class will require the same explicit teaching and well-structured learning as other students. They will work on the same curriculum as all other students in that year group; however, they will move through the curriculum at a faster pace and in greater depth.&nbsp;</p> <p>In 2026 the successful applicant will teach a Year 6 accelerated learning class. The appointee will continue as the accelerated learning class teacher in subsequent years if the accelerated class continues to be offered and if the appointee Is considered to be the best person for that role. Otherwise, the appointee will be redeployed as a classroom teacher In the Junior School.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Other Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>Involvement in College activities and events including:</p> <ul> <li>Contributing to the student wellbeing program, extra-curricular activities and camps.</li> <li>Attending chapel, assemblies and other College activities.</li> <li>Undertaking rostered playground or supervision duties.</li> <li>Attending College events, including parent teacher meetings.</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>The Contract</strong></p> <p>All teachers at RHAC are employed under the Independent Schools (Teachers) Cooperative &nbsp; Multi Enterprise Agreement 2025 (CMEA).
