<p><strong>Your New Role</strong></p>
<p>Classroom and learning support (CLS) is a dedicated service that provides a range of resources and assistance to students with disabilities and additional learning needs. It aims to create an inclusive learning environment where all students can reach their full potential. CLS staff work closely with classroom teachers to identify and address students' needs, providing tailored support and strategies. This may include direct instruction, small group work, assistive technology, and behavior management techniques. CLS also offers professional development to teachers, helping them implement effective inclusive practices.</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist teachers and students in and outside the Learning Spaces</li>
<li>Assist with the supervision of small groups and/or individual students on activities, as directed by the teacher</li>
<li>Undertake specific tasks with individuals or small groups of students under the guidance of the teacher</li>
<li>Toileting and supervising students during break times (on a shared roster)</li>
<li>Support the students and/or teachers in the use of technology</li>
<li>Assist students with physical, medical or mobility challenges</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p>

<li>An understanding of and commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education</li>
<li>An understanding of inclusive education principles</li>
<li>Excellent communication and organisational skills</li>
<li>Proven capacity to work as part of a team and be adaptable and flexible.</li>
<li>Ability to undertake specific tasks and implement with small groups of children or individual learners</li>
<li>Ability to support student learning in numeracy and literacy at a high level.</li>
<li>Enthusiasm and ability to work independently</li>
<li>NSW Working with Children Check</li>
<li>Successful Candidate to undertake a National Criminal History Check</li>
<li>Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A,<a href="https://cedww.app.lumapps.com/intranet/evangelisation-religious-education/work-teach-lead" rel="nofollow"> </a><a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aCbIP5U7RUVpmXSRFNJjPniiJAxX9Kc7W7RNmEFGV8s/edit?usp=sharing" rel="nofollow"><u>Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools,</u></a> Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Highly Desirable</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Certificate III in Education Support</li>
<li>Experience in a contemporary primary education learning environment.</li>
<li>Demonstrated proficiency in Google Workspace for Education</li>
<li>High level analysis and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Current First Aid certificate and anaphylaxis training</li>
</ul>
