<p>Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the Central Coast, Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, Catholic Schools Broken Bay is a system serving 45 Catholic Schools with around 18,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.</p>
<p><strong>About The Role</strong></p>
<p>This role is to build data sets, collate, organise and analyse various Student data sets with the view of providing insights and preparing reports for CSBB leaders. Key to the success of this role is organising internal and external data so it is available for School leadership to track Student outcomes. </p>
<p>This role is required to present data for senior leader review and prepare reports to help senior leaders make key strategic decisions. In addition, this role is also accountable for providing insights into data trends. </p>
<p>This role works closely with other functions of CSBB to support key strategic projects and programs across the wider system.</p>
<p>This is a temporary, full-time role based at the CSBB head office in Pennant Hills. The ideal start date for this role is 21 July 2025 and will end on 3 July 2026.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate in the development and delivery of dashboards and reports using Power BI to support schools, workstream leads, and central teams</li>
<li>Contribute to the design and ongoing refinement of the CSBB Data Ecosystem by integrating and organising diverse student achievement datasets</li>
<li>Assist with the delivery of data reports that support strategic projects across literacy, numeracy, inclusion, wellbeing, and post-school pathways</li>
<li>Translate complex datasets into accessible formats for teachers, school leaders, and other stakeholders</li>
<li>Uphold data governance and privacy standards, ensuring compliance with data management protocols</li>
<li>Support the implementation of the CSBB Use of Student Achievement Data Insights Framework by providing practical tools, data stories, and visualisations</li>
<li>Work alongside colleagues across schools and central functions to promote the effective use of data in improving student outcomes</li>
<li>Contribute to briefing materials and visual reporting for internal and external stakeholders</li>
<li>Maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality when handling sensitive data and information</li>
<li>CSBB employees contribute to the shared responsibility of safeguarding students, ensuring professional boundaries, and upholding duty of care legislative requirements</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Understanding of the Catholic ethos and its application in an educational setting</li>
<li>Strong technical skills in Microsoft tools, including Excel and PowerPoint</li>
<li>Foundational to intermediate skills in Power BI (or willingness to learn), including data modelling and dashboard development</li>
<li>Familiarity with the NSW education system, curriculum, and student information/reporting frameworks</li>
<li>Ability to identify trends in student data and present findings clearly</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data organisation and analysis</li>
<li>Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team</li>
<li>Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanour when engaging with school and system staff</li>
<li>Commitment to continuous learning, particularly in the areas of education data and technology</li>
<li>Knowledge of SQL, DAX, or similar tools is advantageous but not essential </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications and Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Relevant certification or tertiary qualification, and/or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education, training and/or experience</li>
<li>Valid Working with children Check for paid employment purpose</li>
<li>Current NSW driver’s licence and own vehicle</li>
