This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of learning experiences that connect knowledge across disciplines and reflect the skills and challenges of the real world.</p> <p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Designing transdisciplinary experiences</strong> across year levels that promote deep learning, student agency and global perspectives</li> <li><strong>Building staff capability</strong> through targeted professional learning and collaborative planning</li> <li><strong>Embedding global trends</strong> by researching and applying innovative practices in teaching and learning</li> <li><strong>Extending learning beyond the classroom</strong> by developing partnerships with external organisations</li> <li><strong>Supporting the IB MYP framework</strong>, enhancing interdisciplinary approaches and student engagement</li> </ul> <p>This role reports to the Deputy Principal – Pedagogy, Learning Design and Innovation and forms part of the Learning POL Network, working closely with curriculum leaders and teaching staff to drive whole-school improvement in learning and teaching.</p> <p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p> <p>You are an innovative and forward-thinking educator who is excited by the potential of transdisciplinary learning to equip students with the skills, knowledge and mindset they need to thrive in a changing world. You are both a strategic thinker and a collaborative practitioner and are able to inspire others, lead change, and bring new ideas to life.</p> <p>In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the position description, successful candidates will demonstrate their capability against the following criteria:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Experience with the IB Middle Years Program</strong><br> A strong understanding of the MYP framework and its application within a school setting, including experience designing or delivering interdisciplinary units and supporting student agency and inquiry.</li> <li><strong>Strong collaboration and leadership skills</strong><br> An ability to bring people together around a shared vision, work across teams and disciplines, and build strong relationships that enable innovation and change.</li> <li><strong>Strategic, innovative, and committed to inclusive practice</strong><br> A future-focused mindset with a deep commitment to designing learning that is purposeful, relevant, and accessible to all students.
